Discovery & Exploration: A History of the Stevens Library

thumbnail_libraryexhibit-intro.jpg

From its humble beginning in Edwin A. Stevens Hall in 1871, the Library at Stevens has been a place of “discovery and exploration” for generations of Stevens students, faculty, and staff. This exhibition, produced in fall 2019 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Samuel C. Williams Library, features historic photographs, documents, and other ephemera from the Archives & Special Collections' University Archives. The exhibit panels presented here trace the various iterations of the campus library and its staff from from the late 19th-century to the opening of the Samuel C. Williams Library in 1969.
